Kinya Lerrk

Kinya Lerrk (Wemba Wemba for ‘women coming together’) is the collaboration of Aboriginal visual artists Emma Bamblett (Wemba Wemba, Gunditjmara, Ngadjonji and Taungurung) and Megan Van Den Berg (Dja Dja Wurrung, Taungurung, Yorta Yorta and Boon Wurrung). Emma and Megan have worked in Aboriginal affairs for the past 17 years together and who have a strong history of collaboration on design/arts based projects. Together they managed to create cultural resources that strengthened Communities connections to Culture, Family and Land.

Through their small business, Kinya Lerrk designed and created art to make homes and offices come alive with colourful designs which celebrate Aboriginal culture. The core purpose of the business is to celebrate and respectfully acknowledge traditional owners of land through their Acknowledgement to Country plaques, they highlight language, peoples, Elders and depict images of Country, totems, and land.

Most recent launches and passion to make their houses nice and celebrate their Culture, Emma and Megan released a candle range that helped create a sense of being back on Country, Tea Towel range, Prints and most recent note books.
